Nobody's responding to my group ad posts...
I post ads all the time, and nobody signs up".
I hear these complaints from marketers all the time.
They are trying to build their online business by posting
in marketing groups, but they claim they are
"posting with no results".
If you are not getting results from your ad posts, you need
to understand the psychology of marketing in social media.
The coaches and gurus will tell you this is relationship
marketing...people join people. They make fun of the
people who put links in their ads, and claim, they will
have no long term success because they haven't touched
and felt the person before they signed up.
I don't totally agree with this. I believe that seasoned
marketers can evaluate a program just by looking at the
link presentation. They are experienced enough to make
an informed decision, as to whether or not to move forward.
But let's talk about the different types of Facebook group posts.
There are three types of group posts.
1. Information group posts
2. Teaser ad group posts
3. Benefits ad group posts
INFORMATION GROUP POSTS --The information group post
is the stock company ad, with the company logo. This is
designed to introduce the business to the network marketing
world. This brands the logo into your mind.
These posts are like billboards on the freeway. People
look at them, take note and DRIVE ON BY. If this is a new
company, use these ads to familiarize your audience with
the company so they can Google it, research it, ask the
marketing forums about it. In other words, create a BUZZ.
These types of group posts are used to provide branding
information for the company. Rarely do they prompt
people to take action to buy or join. If you are using
these posts expecting immediate sign ups you WILL be
disappointed.
Take note: It takes a person viewing your advertisement
5-7 times before he will decide to take action, to join or
buy your offer.
TEASER GROUP AD POSTS --The teaser group ad posts is
where you ask the buyers questions, to make them think
about the business as it relates to their situation.
Questions like: Do you want to earn more money? Are you
tired of your situation? Are you looking for a better life?
These group ads should prompt your audience to answer
"YES" three times before they have finished reading your ad.
The psychology here is, if they have answered "YES" 3 times,
why would they say "NO" to what you are offering? This
peaks their interest to want to know MORE about your
opportunity.
Benefits Group Ad Posts --These group ad posts tell the
benefits of why they should buy or join your offer.
If you are looking for this...My company provides this...
My program will give you this...my business will help you
do this...etc.
Benefits ads solve problems for people.
Would you like more free time with your family? Well
doing this business has not only allowed me free time,
but more money to spend on my family.
When should you use referral links?
You should put links in your information ad posts to create
the buzz about your company. This gives your audience a
chance to research it on their own before contacting you.
Your teaser ads should NOT have your referral links, but
links to your blog posts, videos, or capture pages so you
can expose more details, and build a list of interested
people.
Your Benefits ads can have links in them, but you should
ask people to friend or inbox you for details. This prompts
people to talk to you about your business.
This is how you connect with your audience, to tell them
how your product or offer can be an asset to their lives.
Last but not least, talk to your audience as if you are
having a conversation with them. This is social media,
people want to be social, so stop being so technical, make
it personal.
Promote conversation in your ad posts, ask questions to get
comments. This will allow more people to see your posts.
Be excited! Use the words "I", or "we", in your group ad
posts. Ask and answer the questions they want to hear.
They mostly want to know that you care, so talk TO THEM,
not AT THEM.
So ask yourself, "What types of group ad posts have you been posting?"
If you want more information on how to make your ad
campaigns more effective...these are the type of things
I teach my team members when they join my online
businesses.
The way you introduce your business will determine
whether a prospect will believe they can do it.
So what if you showed your prospects something so
simple, a teenager could do it?
A confused mind says 'NO'.
My recipe is to always keep it simple.
